"Who Dey!"

August 22, 2008

"We live in Clarksville, TN and we LOVE our Bengals. So much that we had professional family photos taken! Pictured are our two children Mekyla and Xzayvier, my husband Rob and myself."

"Meet the Bengals biggest fans straight off the message board! Brew Crew Grrl, SouthernStripes, The Bengal Thing, Megalicious23, and Turk88 meet up for good times before a Bengals game. WHO DEY!"

"I am from California. This is me at PBS, my first visit to Cincy after 30 years of a fan."

"This is our trip to K.C. last year in our new Bengals Limo, or the 'Bengals Mobile.' This is my dad Charlie, my fiancee Jess, me, my nephew Collin (his first road trip), my sister Andi, and my mom Pam."

"I just wanted to take the time and mention how wonderful Chad Johnson is as a person. When vacationing in Florida this year, my then-7-year-old son and I were walking through the gift shop in a Florida airport and we saw Chad. He was plain clothed of course and chatting on his cell phone. I instantly recognized him of course-being a huge Cincinnati Bengals fan and even bigger Chad Johnson fan. Chad Johnson is also my son's favorite player. His entire bedroom is decorated in the Bengals. He even has the Carson and Chad Fatheads on the walls, posters, and a comforter/bedding set of the Bengals, etc.

I turned to my son and said 'Drew, do you know who that is?' He turned to look and his face lit up like a Christmas tree! He yelled "Mom-Oh my gosh, that's Chad Johnson!" We both were so excited and star struck. I quickly grabbed my camera and without even thinking about how rude it was, I interrupted him and told him we were from Cincinnati and were HUGE fans of his. I asked if he would mind if I could take his picture with my son. He was so nice. He asked whomever he was speaking to on his cell phone to hold on for a moment and then hid the phone behind his back to pose with my son! How sweet of him to do that for us. I said thank you. He said no problem and he went back to his call. I thought it was so polite of him.

It was so cute and so much fun to watch my son experience such an exciting moment. He will never know how much that meant to my son and me. The picture is our screensaver on our home computer and many copies have been made and shown and given to friends and family. The picture is also framed on our fireplace mantle as well as my desk at work and in my son's room. He also took it to school for show and tell when he was 'start student' of the week. I tell the story all the time of how kind Chad Johnson was to us that day. He didn’t even have to be. He could pretend not to hear us seeing as he was talking on the phone. He could have walked right by but he didn't. We are grateful to Chad Johnson that he took the time for us. What a great guy that appreciates his fans!"
